The Advanced Engineering, Manufacturing and Materials sector in the Tech Corridor area is characterised by high levels of productivity and innovation compared to the national average. The major sub-sectors here are in automotive technology, precision engineering and composites in the Greater Norwich area, and Electronics and Industrial Machinery in the Greater Cambridge area.
The Tech Corridor initiative aims to support the sector by facilitating physical growth of new and exiting businesses and supporting greater integration and collaboration between research and knowledge-intensive businesses and commercialisation and manufacturing capabilities through our cross-sector network.
"As we are seeking to grow our automotive business in Norfolk, the development of Technology Park combined with the link to the Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor can only strengthen our local position which we welcome"
Aslam Farikullah, Group Lotus
"‘The Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor shows real vision and I applaud the partnerships role in leading the development of this strategic economic development initiative"
