Equipmake is an advanced manufacturer of electric drive trains for the industrial automotive sector. It moved to the Park in 2019 having outgrown its starter space at the nearby Hethel Engineering Centre. The firm had received £7.5m from the UK’s Advanced Propulsion Centre to develop its EBus platform and a commission to build 700 units for the South American commercial vehicle maker Agrale.

Equipmake chose the Park because it gave them the opportunity to create a bespoke 1,500 sq.m. facility for the design and build of the Ebus and the potential for further expansion as needed. Another attraction was the Park’s proximity to the Snetterton Motor Racing Circuit with its test track facilities. At the same time, the location enabled the business to maintain vital links with the dynamic automotive sector in the region.

The company recently received funding from the Advanced Propulsion Centre to commission a feasibility study to evaluate the suitability of a site adjacent to its existing plant to scale up manufacturing processes and facilities to support the shift to net-zero emissions.

Parts Pak specialises in sourcing and installing parts for food packaging machinery. Its services include refurbishing older machinery by updating software and hardware so as to extend its productive lifespan. For instance, they recently reconditioned a machine that had been used by an Italian salt manufacturer and then sold it a French cheese manufacturer.
